So we came back Wednesday evening and meant to post
We walked around Downtown and around Jackson Square and your normal touristy places just to show the kids. We walked around from about 5-8 and ended up at Couchon Butcher for dinner
Wife and I have been to NOLA a thousand times and both of us have said it really didn’t seem like it was much different than any other time as far as the places and routes we went. We didn’t go down Bourbon.
Wednesday morning, we went and got breakfast on Magazine and walked Canal to the restaurant. Took another route to get back to the hotel just so we wouldn’t be asked for a dollar every block. Just didn’t feel like dealing with them.
All in all, it wasn’t as bad as the OT makes it out to be, which is the case for most things. I’m sure there are pockets of terrible and we were there on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning so that probably helped. So few problems that wife and I decided we may go back for our anniversary and do a food tour. That is if the psycho governor and/or mayor doesn’t shut everything down again.
