yes medicine works the same on dogs. for example, feed him some ex-lax, he will shite diarrhea all over the place.

while this is true in principle, dogs dont metabolize drugs like humans do.
some will kill them, like ibuprofen.

No true. Never give a dog Tylenol or Advil. Tylenol will cause thrombocytopenia, a blood disorder, and one dose can easily be fatal. Advil can cause kidney failure.
I know this a message board but damn that was reckless statement.

Doses are completely different though.
Also, I was always told to be sure not to give decongestants.

They can but limit to maybe 1mg per 10-15 pounds. Tryptophan and lemon balm are ok to give them as well.

Dog had surgery. Dog supposed to be calm. Dog will be groggy for days they say. Dog not tired. Need dog to chill. Need something to make dog tired
