Calling OT football coaches: Eric Taylor, how would he be as a real HC?

All this talk on the rant has had me thinking about Coach Taylor: Kingmaker. In the show he's obviously an elite coach, but I've always wondered how accurate his portrayal is?
Any OT baws with real coaching experience have any insight? Would he make a good real coach, and if so, to what level? What about him is different than real coaches, if any?

I'm not sure about Coach Taylor, but Julie would make a good wife IRL.
