Caddo Parish delaying school by two weeks

“Throughout our surveying, I think it is important to note that about 26% of families did not feel comfortable or did not feel they had the information to safely allow their children to return to school,” Dr. Goree said. “Interestingly enough we saw similar numbers from our teachers and staff. It is important to me that every child and every teacher feel comfortable when they return to work.”

So 26% dictated the delay. Notice those that didn’t think they had enough information were added to the “No School” total, and they could only get the NOs to a whopping 26%.

Other plans:

Elementary schools will be open with daily in-person instruction. Classes limited to 25 students.

Middle and high schools students will attend school in a hybrid model. Every student will have the option to enroll in completely virtual instruction. Devices will be provided to all students that need them for virtual learning.

Middle and high school students will attend classes only 2 days a week. Half on Monday/Wednesday, the other half Tuesday/Thursday. Friday is virtual for all middle and HS.
