And then for the Union. They were from West Virginia

So you hate the Confederacy, but the state your ancestors are from came into existence by seceding from Virginia. Do you hate them too?

Just take them all down and replace then with statues of Michael Brown. I don't care anymore. It's what we've become as a society. Just let it happen.

The right to secede being trampled on led to the secession?

No. I'm not sure what your point is or what you're asking. The Southern States recognized the right to secede from the Union. There was a lot of tension leading up to it such as the Nullification Crisis as the industrialists in the north were constantly applying pressure to Southern agriculture so that they could acquire cheaper raw Goods that the South wanted to sell overseas at a higher rate.

If you really wanted to travel down some rabbit holes one could argue for the theory that Northern Industrial interests colluded to plant the seeds of abolition along with unconstitutional tariffs on Raw Goods out of the South in order to put southern plantation owners out of business so that they could scoop up fully functioning plantations for pennies on the dollar to complete vertical integration to make them more price competitive with manufactured goods out of Europe

Never underestimate the ruthlessness of waspy, protestant, Yankee industrialists, baw.
