Checking in with one outside busted 1/2” pipe in Madisonville, La. with raised home. Cut and capped with end stop. Should be interesting tomorrow
Put me down for a two count

I'm good so far, thankfully.
I did learn a trick new to me anyway. Let the water trickle into a cup or bowl with-in earshot of you at night. The constant trickle noise when I wake up tells me the water is still flowing.. Helps me to go back to sleep.
Good luck to y'all.

Just had to make an emergency trip to my neighbor’s house. She had a pipe in the garage bust. Of course it was busted about three feet ahead of the cutoff inside the house. We turned it off at the road.

Woke up this morning, turned on the main, and the water is back!
Noticed that the water company at some point between last night and this morning had been messing around with the turnoff from the street. So we suspect the issue was there instead of inside the house (we haven’t seen any leaks yet but will be watching throughout the week as it warms up).
Merry Christmas to us!

Thought I was going to be able to avoid it, no such luck. I know ive got one cracked, possibly more. Won't know for sure until I get the first one fixed. That shite can wait until tomorrow

Came out of this unscathed. We had extremely low pressure yesterday but seems to be back to normal today. Our renter woke up to a frozen line Saturday morning but I figured out where the problem was and had it up and running by that afternoon. And we're not projected to have anymore freezing so I'm calling victory.

I lost two outdoor faucets. One wouldn't shut off, but it was an easy fix. I took a garden watering wand that had a shut off, connected it to the faucet, and use the wand's shut off valve to stop the flow.
The other faucet was an an outdoor sink. It broke. I used the special putty that works under water to seal it back up. It is holding so far.
Each requires a difference replacement faucet, but I had a replacement for each faucet. I was missing a connecting pipe, which was not available on Christmas Day.
I'm debating whether to replace them myself. I suspect these faucets and the connecting pipes have been in place for years. I don't want to break anything.
