That song is probably more appropriate for 2019 than it was for 2006.

I think “cancel culture” is coming to an end soon. It’s gone too far and the pendulum has to start swinging back. Chapel and Burr on Netflix were good starts, and the responses to this article and to Busch Light give me hope

The writers girlfriend, Paige, is a SJW. And she dates a guy who tweets the N word...

The writers apology for his tweets, some of which where when he was an adult.

I found out a bit more. The author, Aaron Calvin, has now deleted his twitter account. He has a lot of anti-police posts, some vry vile. Calvin was writing a puff piece on King until King stated he was proudly hoping to go into law enforcement like his father. Thats when Calvin chose to make it a hit piece.

I don’t think many here will be surprised by this. They’re sick people. And I say this as not the most pro police person. What was once an honorable profession built on serving the people, has become one of serving the state. But that’s for another thread.

The negative response to this POS self proclaimed writer gives me hope if nothing else.

The sooner we ignore all the disingenuous virtue signaling, the sooner we can get back to honesty and living normally.

According to his personal website... LINK he's previously worked at places like Buzzfeed.

That and this picture seem to explain a lot about him.

Can I just not care?

I’m not saying this man is wrong or right, but can we just not care about the random Guy on game day with a sign?

Deciding to dig into his tweets from when he was a child, then publish them was a financial decision. While they knew it was wrong, they did it to generate hits, and sell more papers. It was strictly a gotcha.

Their published reasoning is lame and they are in full damage control mode now. People are cancelling subscriptions like they did to ESPN when ESPN allowed that racist girl to continually spout her political and racist opinions.

Best specials so far this year

Anthony Jeselnik is up there.

But I like the balls that those comics and others like Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer have and their "don't apologize" attitude

If you want a laugh, listen to "2 Bears 1 Cave" podcast with Tom and Bert

The jackass reporter has had his own tweets from the same time period dig up now. He’s going to get himself fired. When cancel culture backfires.

Now a petition with over 37,000 signatures for the paper to apologize. This is hilarious. LINK

Maybe some good will come from this...

No. It won't. I doubt even this "reporter" will learn a lesson. Certainly, others won't.

I am also sure that ESPN/Gameday will have a breathless apology and disassociation to start its broadcast this Saturday.
