I'm curious, who's the red and gold group and red and white group that you speak of riding around NOLA? Also what's the significance of a three piece patch, and are there different requirements as compared to a club who just wants to wear a one or two piece patch?

Thanks Darthy.
Anytime.
Just keep in mind, bikers are people like everyone else for the most part. Most of them are good people. If you treat them right, they'll bend over backwards to treat you better. But just like every other subset of people, not all bikers are good people either.
The one bit of advice I will give you, if you're ever out somewhere and strike up a conversation with a patch holder, feel free to ask questions, just don't ask anything specific that he'd consider "club business". Things to avoid are asking things like "how many members are in your club?", things like that.

Were the "real" bikers pissed when the homos took ownership of the whole leather thing in the 70's?

Red and Gold = Bandidos
Red and White = Hell's Angels
The area in question is "owned" by the Bandidos. The Angels don't fly their colors there out of respect. Just like any Bandido riding across Arizona or Southern California won't fly thiers.
Generally but not always 3 piece is outlaw, 1 and 2 piece is family and riding clubs but there are exceptions to that it isn't a hard and fast rule.

They're here but you'd never know. Not sure what that means but apparently it's a secret.

Is it OK to ask if he ate the biscuit after the last circle jerk?

It's actually very basic. If you used research instead of ridicule, youd see that.

Red & Gold...
Red & White

Also what's the significance of a three piece patch
A three piece patch is mistakenly associated with "outlaw" clubs. A lot of people, including a lot in law enforcement, think that if a club wears a three piece patch, they're an "outlaw" club. This is not the case though. The number of patches a club has as it's "club patch" is up to that club. In fact, some "outlaw" clubs do not wear three piece patches. Here's two examples....
Vagos...
Sons of Silence
And here's an example of a "cop club" that wears a three piece patch....
So, as you can see, the number of patches a club wears is really only determined by that club.

This tread is so entertaining I am learning so much about bike gangs. I have never seen a hell's angel or a bandito in my entire life. I'm still tore up about the SoA series finally

No I get it. It's about colors. That's about as basic as it gets.

Yo Ease let's do this...
I am a nightmare walking, psychopath talking
King of my jungle just a gangster stalking
Living life like a firecracker quick is my fuse
Then dead as a deathpack the colors I choose
Red or Blue, Cuz or Blood, it just don't matter
Sucker die for your life when my shotgun scatters
We gangs of L.A. will never die - just multiply
