Yep but that doesn't mean it's good to add not naturally occurring amounts. Whatever, it was a tangential point. I like Bud alright, especially for beach and yardwork. But I'm low carb now so it's pretty much moot because I'll have to stick to nasty-assed Ultra or cheat and drink good stuff. Bud won't be my cheating choice.

I'll preface by saying I am adamantly anti-beer faggery. Nothing is worse than some fat nerd looking down his nose at you because your beer choice doesn't have enough hops for his liking.
But when I went overseas years ago I hung with some Scottish people who had mad drinking chops to say the least. They asked me what the most popular beer in America was and I told them Budweiser. They started snickering. They said that Bud was EXCLUSIVELY a chick beer in the UK and Europe. I got the impression that a guy ordering one in a bar there was not unlike a guy ordering a Zima in the US.
So we can wave the flag all we want in this country but this is probably pretty embarrassing for us everywhere else. Plus the fact that it smells of jingoistic money-grubbing. None for me thanks.

Well, not everywhere else. I was at a bar in Korea (the Woodstock in Gangnam, if anyone's been) and they were selling 6 packs in the bucket of US brewed Bud (not the stuff they brew in Asia) for around 50 bucks US, and EVERYONE was drinking them.

It's hard to make sense of a lot of eastern Asian tendencies IMO. Probably some kind of quasi-kitsch thing that gets a weird thrill out of being illogical. I guess we have our own Pabst Blue Ribbon thing which I never have really understood. At least we don't overcharge for it though.

It’s hard to imagine a more patriotic label, particularly for a brand that’s not even technically American. In 2008, Anheuser-Busch was purchased by InBev, a beer conglomerate based in Belgium and Brazil.
Guess all the upvoters don't quite understand. This is a cheesy move. But hey, it is the true American way.
