I trust Bruce because he got his start right here at WBRZ in BR.

Not really. The extreme western side of the wall maybe. NOLA is more in the eye than Lutcher
There is no real "eye" anymore. It was 70+ miles wide just before landfall, and is wider than that now. Trying to track this by the center of an "eye" on radar at this point is pointless.

What? The storm did not go where he said it would, significantly.

Bruce was right. Kudos to him. Credibility increased.

He was wrong when it cane to landfall and the extent of how it was going to affect everyone else

He wasn't.

Well also, as he’s no longer in BR, I don’t really pay attention to him in anyway, shape or form. So I guess there’s also that.

Why do so many of the weather crowd have a hate-on for this guy?
I didn't even hear what he said, but I do remember this board swearing it was going to go between Lafayette and BR and dogging out anyone who said otherwise.

As a lifelong BR resident, I do not disagree. My entire mission is to make sure none of my kids grow roots here. But I just want to make sure that whatever shithole you live in, you don’t feel like it’s superior… assuming you’re still in Louisiana.
Anyone who lives here, who hasn’t completely resigned to the fact they need to keep their kids out of here, is a generational loser.

He was right about the storm and now he's going off on Nola leadership and the ridiculous property tax increases on citizens meanwhile the antiquated pumps don't work. He has hit for the cycle in the last 24 hours.
And before people blame local Nola leadership, who yes deserve blistering criticism, let's not forget that US Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy both voted to send Ukraine $61 billion. Could that money have helped Nola and Metairie drainage infrastructure instead of blowing people to bits in Eastern Europe? Of course. Yet they're slumbering in DC townhouses while we flood.

We can argue semantics, but the man said that the storm would have a much greater impact in the New Orleans area than what was being forecasted by almost every other outlet.

Exactly. And he took flak all day from wannabe meteorologists on the stickied thread. People on here are pretending to be meteorologists while they are posting from a jerkwater hovel, collecting unemployment.

None of these meteorologists are scientists of any sort. They collect data from several sources and guess. If he was “right” it’s not because of skill.
