And taking down a flag will not give someone a job, get them a better home, make their kid's school better, or keep the streets safer from tPOS hoodrats

I agree with this 100%... Also the reason why I don't think the Confederate Flag should be flying at a government building of any state.

It certainly has potential.

I'll back away from my original thought that it was "likely". The state put the flag back up with the quickness, and national media outlets (CNN, Fox, etc...) haven't picked it up yet.

Been the #1 Twitter trend for several hours, though. We'll see if the media outlets get on board.

I can see not flying it on government buildings, but war memorials and cemeteries should be an exception.

We can at least be respectful enough of the dead to fly their own flag over a site that is meant be their resting place, or place of remembrance. We do not make countries that we have defeated in war fly Old Glory over their war cemeteries and memorials, because that would be disrespectful. I think we owe the Americans that died during the civil war on the confederate side at least that much dignity.

The attention whore got just what she deserved, an arrest.

I hope they give her the maximum sentence, but we know they probably won't.

Just because you don't like something doesn't give you the right to tear it down. It was being lawfully displayed.
