The "metro" area of Hattiesburg has almost 150K. It's not a tiny city, the cops have a lot of ground to cover. The bad news is those guys are in one of the most run down areas of town with a shitload of places to hide out, between houses and abandoned buildings. Unless there's a warrant that allows cops to enter and search every house/building in within a certain radius, the odds aren't great they'll find them tonight.

In-laws just stopped at a checkpoint in Petal and had every square inch of their car searched. Cops armed with AR-15s. Very tense.

The Ghetto will give them up just to get rid of all the cops in the hood.

had this happened in Texas the suspects would already be dead, and weigh considerably more then then did when they shot the cops.
