The outspoken Gates goes on to say that jail time is “the culture of Louisiana.” Gates, who actually earned his Masters in Psychology while in prison, adds, “They have more people locked up in the state of Louisiana than any other country in the world. It’s very poverty-stricken. So being in and out jail is a way of life for most poverty-stricken individuals. I don’t wanna say young black males, so I’ll just say young males. But the majority is like 99 percent black, over-crowded prison systems.”

For the record he stopped the show prior to this happening and said don't do it again because it was a lot more flagrant the first couple of times it happened.

Do I think that was the appropriate reaction? No. But when you tell someone stop that bothers you a couple times and they keep doing it don't you think you would react against them in a more bothered way than before when you asked them already to stop? By no means am I condoning him kicking a woman fan in the chest; but I think we've all done things when we were angry that we wish we wouldn't have.

He did something wrong; admitted to doing something wrong; apologized; and is currently dealing with the consequences and repercussions of the wrong doing.

I definitely think that was a security related issue. I don't know why they wouldn't have put someone in between them after he stopped the show especially since he has two that travel, plus whatever the venue's security is. I wasn't there so I can't really speak on the why's of that.
