and good weather.
Forgot that point.
I just wish the experts at DOTD or their contractor that is working on some intersection improvements in South Lafourche area on 3235 would have used some better judgments in rerouting traffic for their new J-Turn improvements.
Instead of building the new J-turns first they just closed the intersection and the future relocated J-Turn crossover intersections.
All that they did was push the traffic that needs to turn on 3235 to other more dangerous crossovers until they finish the project.
And I don't know what they are planning in Larose at the intersection by Rouses. It looks like they want to create some cross overs and add acceleration and deceleration lanes using the extra space that is there for the future new bridge over the Intracostal. It is a mess out there, but luckily with the less traffic load, it is not that bad.
I probably could have saved DOTD from having to do all of this construction if instead of J-Turns restripe the road to narrow the traffic down to 1 lane at those intersections to create the acceleration and deceleration lanes in the same road footprint.
Mississippi did this on MS 607 near the Rest stop by the Louisiana state line.

Just glad they were able to do the work during this weird economic shutdown.

Years ago they did the Coursey/Sherwood intersection during Kip’s Greenlight Plan.
They did great.

Low bid laws govern.
They didn’t select them on qualifications.....
