I had the same thing happen to me but it was 100% the dealerships fault. once i figured out they dropped the ball i had a plate in a few days. it is nothing to do with COVID, someone screwed up.

That’s a vroom problem. If you google it that’s pretty common for them
ETA: wait until you do get plate along with a 1,500 bill for not registering it timely
