I've gotten into biographies recently, namely among Civil War military leaders.
It's fricking incredible to learn about all of the cool and interesting shite that's omitted from HS text books.

In The Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson. Nonfiction about the beginning of WWII. Riveting.

I'm reading Primo Levi's The Drowned and the Saved; I recommend this book and all of Levi's work, but only to those with a deeply contemplative turn of mind--and a very strong stomach. This kind of stuff is hardly for the masses, but if you're open to books that might change the way you experience and perceive life, this is the kind of book you should be reading.
