I guess so. I'm doing it now. We got out here around 3:30 to get a good spot and let the kids play.

We have no kids this weekend and my SO doesnt want to waste drinking time. What time are the fireworks? And is it super crowded usually?

ETA: What's the latest we can arrive and it nit be a major hassle? It's too hot to sit out there for hours.

They start at seven, and you need to get out there a little early.
Land o pines is doing them tonight tomorrow and Saturday night as well

Tomorrow night they do them at the Seafood festival in Fontainebleau. You can see them from the lakefront if you don't want to pay to get in.

Ok. Makes more sense. Is it a big park? I've never been there. I just want to get out of the house and do something fun, but I definitely don't want to go several hours early and just sit in the heat.

Yes it is pretty big. You could get here around 7:30 and be good.

Probably 10 acres. Lots of shade too.

Yes, plenty of shade. I was hoping they had the power on to plug my fan in, but no luck.

I'm new here. BF grew up here. Been here a year next month but I really haven't had time to check out too much.

We have been in Mandeville for 2 years. I enjoy living here.

I like it way better than BR for sure. A little uppity for my tastes but it's a really nice area to raise a family.

Do you live in Mandeville or Covington?

Covington. No offense, but not a Mandeville fan as far as living there.

None taken. I like Covington too. Especially the downtown part.
