I smoke on my front porch every single day. I live in the sticks, no neighbors. You can't smell it on my clothes or on me at all.
The only place I smoke in a confined space is my outfitted conditioned woodshop. I smoke all the time in there while listening to music and working on wood. But I'm the only one that is really allowed in my shop anymore. I got tired of friends and family touching my tools. There's about $50,000 of nice machines and top quality hand tools in there, so I've ser it off limits for just me and my weed.

Smoke goes up, not down. The smell might come from the apt. below you, but I find it hard to believe its from the apt. above you.
