This is so true. I work downtown and see people of all races interact, socialize and mingle in completely normal manner every day. From live at 5, the crawfish cook off, happy's running club to everyday acts of eating lunch, having drinks after work, moving about town and holding the door open each other.

If you spend too much time on the internet or sensationalized news stations you'd think war was about to break out. That vocal minority is not the norm.

The Law of Unintended Consequences strikes again.

quote:

I grew up going to a primarily white school and spent most of my young life surrounded by white people. I ended up living with a black family for my last 3 years of high school. I recognized trashy people as trash whether they were white or black. Racism did not exist in my mind.

The family I lived with recognized the brutal history of slavery, but I feel they viewed it more like a mistake that should be forgiven but not forgotten. They had no sense of entitlement, and they did not encourage racial divide.

The last couple of years have brought out the worst in me. BLM popped up and started encouraging racism. Michael Brown did not have his hands up. MB attacked a cop and was killed. Alton Sterling's hands were not visible when he was shot. His right hand is struggling and by his waist, where he had a loaded pistol. He was killed and the cops were justified. The Can't Breathe guy should not have resisted. Had he remained calm, he would be breathing right now.

Now the cop that shot the teenager in Dallas a few weeks ago... Guilty. I would like to see him with a murder conviction. The guy shot in the back while running away from the cops In the park, I want to see those cops with murder convictions. Wrong is wrong.

All of this hypocrisy and the lies that created BLM have made my feelings change. They are terrorists. I now find myself judging black people based on how the dress or look. I look at Chicago and ask myself how you can take an Alton Sterling protestor seriously.

I wonder if black America realizes the movement is causing further divide?

I disagree. I believe they absolutely realize it. They really don't want equality, they want superiority in the name of old ghosts.

Very well put. I agree with everything you said and it's a damn shame that some of these movements are only dividing the nation more. We need to take off any form of biased sunglasses and try to see everything as is. Good is good, bad is bad, regardless of race. The ease of access to social media for the ignorant has brought them all together and is causing some of these movements to move forward. BLM may have originally started as a legit group, but it has become something absolutely horrible.

The leaders of these leftist movements encourage the divisiveness. That's how they're successful.

Absolutely. No divide = no need for a movement. Sharpton and JJ have made a multi-million dollar career out of it spanning several decades.

There are big bucks to be made through racial tensions. I don't think some people want them to go away.

Why would someone who sells a product want to completely eliminate its demand. As long as civil rights activist is a job title, and an Al Sharpton can make millions, you will continue seeing false flags when things are slow.

Think military industrial complex

In the words of Mark twain “travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts”.

Whitey always blaming someone else. Now it's the black people's fault they are racist.

And they'll be the first ones lined up against the wall and shot one they have outlived their usefulness...

That's the goal of the rich white people that fund BLM.
