blast from the past - anyone remember the pool triangle flip trick? eta now NSFW

you basically pick up the pool rack and put your wrists inside the triangle (triangle facing down) and rotate your wrists to make it flip as fast as possible.

then you casually set it down and wait for the other player to wander over and try it. if they don't, you can always make some comment about how fast you can flip it around.



if you've ever done this you know what the outcome is..i bloodied the hell out of my nose.

the trick (which nobody notices) is you bring your arms straight down as the top of the triangle is coming around or it will slam the frick out of your face.

once you've done it the right way slowly its ridiculously easy not to hurt yourself.

the nature of how the triangle flips presents an optical illusion (the triangle is coming up as your arms are going down) so the casual observer never notices you are moving your arms down as it is flipping.
