I don’t think it’s bird crap on the bottom of a full pool.

What material is the pool surface?

Berries, acorns, and some leaves can make stains. Small pieces of metal will corrode and cause rust stains.

Yeah that would surprise me too if it was truly bird crap. Especially with the amount of water in a built in pool and how much it is circulated with pumps and that roaming cleaning gizmo.

Any trees near it? Have you fertilized the yard around it?

Chlorine can help remove the organic stains. There are some acids you can use for rust. Tie some granular chlorine in a sock. Attach it to your pool pole brush. Rub it on there and see if it comes off.

Do you have buzzards crapping in your pool? That's about the only bird's shite that could make it too the bottom and cause a stain. maybe.

If it’s the standard white plaster try brushing the stains. They may come out in a couple brushing. You can also shock it and brush.

If that doesn’t work, get a dive mask and some fine grit sand paper and get to work but take it easy.

You need to find out what’s causing the staining and eliminate the problem.

I asked about fertilizer because some of it contains iron that will rust and stain surfaces.

This is why I recommend PebbleTec plaster for anyone building a pool because it is less likely to stain and hides any discoloration better.
