A former boss of mine grew up poor and was extremely frugal with money. He saved like crazy and had an amazing financial portfolio. His wife insisted on getting a new car every few years. He would put on his oldest, rattiest clothes and go to the car dealership to negotiate a deal. Once he got a deal he could live with he would write them a check for the full purchase amount.

Joe, we have a family friend that has a shitload of money and he is in his 70s. He and his wife often went to the casinos in Ms so they enjoy their money. He would wear overalls often and would shop for a car while dressed in them. He now owns a dealership he once bought a car from. CSB.

My old boss wouldn’t be caught dead within a mile of a casino unless they were giving something away. This guy spent every waking moment scheming on ways to either save money for the company or for himself.
