Switched schools at the last minute and could only get an apartment at a place called Oak Crest, nicknamed Roach Crest. It was a shithole with terrible management.
Same thing when I went to Northwestern State. Was late getting enrolled and had to live at the fricking Frog Pond and was stuck with culcha.
Looking back, having my program cut 2 years in was a blessing.

My wife and I got married while we were undergrads at LSU. Six months later, she was pregnant with our oldest.
She was closer to finishing her accounting degree than I was, so I left school and took a full time job in the commercial lending department of the bank that I worked part time for. My plan was for her to finish, then I would go back to school and finish.
My new boss said that if I finished at night and took six more hours of ACCT, I would get promoted with a decent raise. My wife agreed with my boss’ assement and thought that I should keep the job.
But...I was impatient and sick of school at that point. So I left my new job a few months later and finished the degree two semesters later. Only to end up in a full time job that paid 10% less than I was making before.
I can laugh about it now because I’m in a much better place, but at the time, that job was soul crushing. It didn’t help that I absolutely hated it either.
Cheer up, OP, time gives us all the opportunity to overcome our lousy decisions.

Playing beer pong with everclear lemonade during the 2007 SEC championship game.
Woke up around 4am in my dorm, naked, and completely oblivious to the fact that not only did LSU win, but chaos ensued and LSU would be playing in the BCS championship.
