Can someone post a slow GIF of latest GFS?
12/31 through the end of the run is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
I saw 67 to 20 degrees in 18 hours.
Then 12 the next morning (1/2)

Think I got it (only did to hour 210). Man that looks to be frigid for some areas, -35* as a temp (not even the wind chill) in montana?!?

-3 in Tupelo, MS!!!

I could possibly see frozen ponds from NC all the way to Baton Rouge on my Tuesday commute. Insane!

There’s also frozen precip back in the forecast on TWC for next Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

you talking about the wind chill map from the previous page?

just make sure you note that that's wind chill... not actual air temp

So LSU/ND will be playing in 68 degree Orlando while it's like 20 in BR and -2 in South Bend.

Yes, and there continues to be more agreement with this article plunge as the GFS showed such a drop for 12/31 several days ago.

Can someone post the GFS snow 150 miles into the Gulf?! I’ve never seen a 540 line that low

It’s showing rain in central Florida at noon on 1/1 with the cold front.
...Pensacola at 30 degrees while Orlando is at 75!

That precip you see is similar to lake effect, cold air blowing over cold water

if we see single digit temps anywhere in the state of Louisiana... I think my head may literally explode... but even more so if it's south of I-20... or within 100 miles of I-10
