Yeah pretty much what I got here in north Houston. The ice lasted for hours though and snow came later.

The drive home across causeway tonight really sucked. I hate getting on the bridge a few minutes before it closes for safety reasons. Second time this year

Easier than you'd imagine. The basin bridge was already closed. You start sending folks down Airline and you've taken care of most of it.
It's not necessarily easy, but they had I10 closed for the December snow the following night due to ice. They're pretty decent at managing it.

My phone shows 29 and snow on the weather app but all I’m seeing is sleet in Marrero with some icicles starting to form

South central LA should rise above freezing around 9AM Thursday morning. It will get back to freezing that night, but plenty of time for things to melt on Thursday. Some places may have a late start I'd imaginebb
