What time is this shite supposed to hit BR?

Between 2:30 and 3:30. I've been saying for a couple days now that the roads for the drive home this afternoon will be what Donald Trump calls a "shithole".

If I'm getting my PhD, I'm not staying at some local station where I have to answer to ratings and a news director. Use your knowledge for something else.

So driving to the gym at 4 wouldn't be the best idea.

Any idea when/if/severity on the NS? Hubby works across the lake and I really don't want him getting stuck or having a sketchy drive home.

My opinion is that all of south Louisiana will have a very sketchy drive home this afternoon. I'm hoping my boss lets us all go around 3:00 today but I doubt that will happen.

Dr. Josh Echus just said he’s sticking with isolated and that the system is falling apart.

I mean just looking at Radar, I don't understand how he could say this..

He obviously knows better than radar and you can't always trust factual surface observations.

WBRZ seems to ride one model, whatever their private in house model is. So if it says isolated precip, they go with it.

This of course, flies in the face of what other models are showing and the winter weather advisory in place currently.

Yeah, I left the house at about 5:45 and you couldn't even see the lines on Kingston Rd. Then I got to 20 and they had west bound shut down so I had to go back to texas st bridge.

He asked me to keep an eye out and give him a heads up when it's time to roll. I am thinking lunch time would make me feel more comfortable. But no later than 3:00 for sure.

I guess so. It just seems radar and all other models are saying the exact opposite of the "Dr"

You know, back in December was just shocking to see WBRZ's mets completely ignore facts and all the major models. This time around it's just laughable. There's officially a pattern that they've created and it's one of complete hardheadedness.

I mean, this isn't your expected South La snow scenario. No gulf low, but a cold front line. So I don't blame them for a conservative approach. My problem is they don't seem to mention the higher end solutions other models are throwing out. It's just their futurecast and that's what it'll be, despite it's obvious failures recently (Harvey goes to Mexico, no BR snow, ect).

Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure they are using the VIPR to drive their futurecast.
