Rivian and Blue Origin are a joke. How can a man with so many resources be so far behind? Lack of vision? Just doesn’t care?

Quick run around the Google:
The Blue Origin PAC has given more than $200,000 to federal candidates and committees ahead of the 2022 midterms, including contributions to politicians on committees the company seeks to lobby. This cycle, Blue Origin's PAC contributed $10,000 to House Armed Services Committee Chair Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.).
"NOW THAT Jeff Bezos’s space flight company Blue Origin has lost a multibillion contract to Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Congress is prepping the ground for Bezos to win a contract anyway, ordering NASA to make not one but two awards.
The order would come through the Endless Frontier Act, a bill to beef up resources for science and technology research that’s being debated on the Senate floor this week. An amendment was added to that legislation by Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., to hand over $10 billion to NASA — money that most likely would go to Blue Origin, a company that’s headquartered in Cantwell’s home state."
Rivian also doesn't have to be a success for it to be a revenue stream from the taxpayer.
This is what corruption looks like.
These people (elon included) aren't titans of industry, they're welfare queens.

Bezos is just really good at selling books. Nothing wrong with being excellent at one thing and profiting off of that. Not everything works out. The most important step is trying. Doesn't mean we can't make fun at his attempt.
See Donald Trump for failed business ventures. You gotta appreciate the hustle but quite a few things didn't workout. Personally I think he could pull off Trump steaks now though. But I would expect them to be the best tho.
