Other side says "Thank you AJ Dohman for fixing my truck".
Pretty sure the guy was pissed bc Southland wouldn't work on his truck bc it was bought at another dealership. Two sides to every story though.

They are notorious for this. Im surprised Corp. lets them get away with that.

This is the post I saw going around on FB

ETA: I kind of side with the dealer on that...assuming headers don't fall under the 100k power train warranty

Looks like I get to go to war with Southland Dodge. A few years ago my truck started making a ticking sound and I found out that the header bolts broke off. It was under waranty and the dealer fixed it. Now my truck is out of waranty by 6 months and the ticking started again. Found out they only changed the bolts on the side that was ticking and not both sides. Service dept says my truck HAD a 5yr 100k waranty and I'm at 5.5 years 66k. Too bad, pay up! I read online that this is a major problem that Ram trucks are having and Dodge won't issue a recall since its not a safety issue. I spoke to a mechanic who said there is a Federal 8 year 80k emmisions waranty. Southland Dodge says its a powertrain issue and the broken header bolts don't affect emmisions even though you can smell the exhaust coming out from under the hood. Guess its time to fire up the vinyl cutter and make a nice message about Southland Dodge accross my back window! #neveragainsouthlanddodge

I've have a friend who was told this too but they said they could make an appointment that was two weeks out..I don't fully understand why they don't work on vehicles they didn't sell tho...

Had to get the computer flashed for an update on my wife's Durango under warranty, took 10 minutes at Ralph Sellers. Southland told me they couldn't take it for 3 weeks...after they asked where I bought it from.
ETA: did not think about firing up the ole vinyl cutter to do this. Missed opportunity.

Dodge, Jeep, Eagle (if any are left on the roads), Chrysler all have the header problems. They use some aluminum mixture that expands and contracts with hot/cold weather throwing the cylinders off.
