It is an amazing place but Boulder has it all. Awesome weather with mild winters for the most part, jobs, women, and some of the best outdoor recreation anywhere

Boulder is also expensive as frick.
Being in the same industry as the OP I can promise you that he cannot afford Boulder

Icefield is mind blowing. Sheer rock spires, some of the best vertical faces in the world, ice caves and ice climbing.

I would say move here to Whitefish, but it's pretty liberal compared to other parts of Montana.

I really think I would enjoy whatever an area has to offer. I hunt, fish, camp now that I'm in LA. If I moved to the mountains I'd backpack more, maybe get a jeep.

We have over 20 million acres of public land in SE Ak. to play in. It's awesome. No fences, wide open spaces.

Chattanooga, Asheville, and Nashville is in a pretty unique area too. A lot of variety within comfortable driving distance.

If I didn't have a family, I'd be in Colorado right now without a doubt

Damn, reading these threads always make me want to GTFO of Louisiana. I just moved back from Austin. Been back in LA for about 3 months and realizing how much it sucks and why I moved away 10 years ago.
The answer is Washington State, Maine (summer), or Flagstaff,AZ. I can't speak to Colorado as I haven't been there.
