Best Language Learning App for iOS

I’ve used duolingo but frankly it’s trash. I’ve done Pimsleur in the past with good results, but my recency is affecting recall.

Hebrew and Spanish.

Duolingo I don’t like because it doesn’t really reinforce conversational learning. Pimsleur is really good at this especially with Hebrew. With Duolingo for Hebrew it just throws up something like this:



And says translate this. I don’t want to be able to read and shite just want to speak conversationally.

I’ve never used the Pimsleur app, but rather the audio CDs from back in the day. Just tying to see if there’s anything better out there I’m not aware of.

You can’t speak a language conversationally without knowing how to read and translate basic phrases. You’re not going to learn any language overnight.

At first glance Babbel looks very much like Pimsleur.
