Any advice/stories from the millionaires of the OT?

Stop keeping up with the Joneses. This has gotten progressively worse since social media became a thing.

Also, forego that $700.00 car note and spend a few hundred dollars on your current whip. You dont have to impress everyone, you just need to get from point A to point B. Tires, brakes and tune ups are cheaper than a new car.

Never pay on credit except for cars and mortgage

Orrrrr you could just put everything on a credit card responsibly and pay it off at the end of the month therefore acquiring a number of fringe benefits and protections.

Buy the crappiest home in the nicest neighborhood and turn it into the nicest home in that neighborhood. Don’t feel you need it all at once.

(When trusting others for financial advice) Listen to the guy that asks 10,000 questions. He’s actually trying to advise and is usually in it for the long haul. The other guy wants the quick sale.

Maximize your savings upfront and see how little you can get by on. If it becomes difficult slowly reduce savings until you find a good medium to live on. Makes adjusting a budget a breeze.

-Don’t build a brand new home as your first home, buy that fixer upper in a nice neighborhood and DIY. You’ll learn valuable lessons.
-You don’t have to buy every new phone that comes out. Wife and I both have shitty old iPhone 6s that we paid $50 to replace the screens on
-Don’t go overboard on car payments. If you can’t pay it off in 2-3 years it ain’t for you.
