Benefiting from the 'rona

Just curious how you would feel if some politicians received a briefing in January regarding what Corona was going to bring to the US and, instead of alerting the public, they dumped millions in stocks before the markets took a shite?

You’re not the only person that watches Tucker Carlson

What about asking states to not release unemployment numbers? Is that there, too? Is that kosher?

I would feel short of breath and feverish.

Or how about a world leader telling his people during a press conference that a 'rona drug has been approved by the FDA when no such approval has occurred?

Congrats, the economic collapse will give you the senile president you're fiending for.

You lock the scumbags who did that up

I'd say this is more a matter of public safety, or dereliction of public safety, than it is political. I don't give a damn about what party decides to hold information that could save lives in their pocket while they sell millions in stock while knowing what's coming.

Why do you think those guys spend millions to get a job that pays a couple hundred thousand?
Posted on 3/19/20 at 8:38 pm to mmmmmbeeer
So insider trading? Why wouldn't we charge government officials for this like anyone else?

Incorrect. Congress passed laws years ago that make insider trading perfectly legal for them, but not the rest of citizens. Isn’t that wonderful?

I fully expect every politician to benefit a bit from holding office...it comes with the territory.
This? I'm fricking livid, man.

Congress is literally above the law when it comes to this.

Resignations are certainly in order though, eh? One of the two (we know about) was on tape telling wealthy donors what he learned in the briefing....those donors aren't above the law, right?

Correct.
Send them to PMITA prison.
