Yeah, I'd have to agree, but many of the people I helped were first timers, or very inexperienced with gardens. I ran a nursery for 3 years, you'd be shocked by the amount of people looking to kill bees near their gardens. They don't bother me, I haven't been stung in several years.

I hate that lightning bugs have pretty much became a thing of the past too. I rarely see them anywhere anymore and miss how they used to light up the woods in the summertime back in the day. I've heard that the mosquito abatement program is mostly responsible for that.

First time I've ever seen them was in New York. Are they in LA? I didn't see them around NOLA.

Eta-lightning bugs, not mosquitos
