I think anybody who has lived there will tell you Japanese women are a kind of Feminine Ideal. Without even discussing whether or not you find them attractive, just on feminine charm alone they are remarkable. If you live in Japan, it's easy as hell to fall in love. And fortunately, if you are a fairly buttoned-up gaijin, you will be able to fight way above your weight class.

True story-the day I first arrived in Japan, at the Fukuoka airport, I fell asleep in a chair waiting for my ride. I awoke to a Japanese kid actually TOUCHING the hair on my arm and saying , in that way all gajin come to know- "Eyyyyy? ". If I had a dollar for every time a Nihon-jin kid commented on my body hair (and I'm Northern Euro and not even hairy) I'd be buried in a pile of yen.
