Both groups can kiss my pale Irish arse.

The irony is the beaches are overcrowded mostly by people that do not truly want to be on the beach. They sit their queso sucking butts under tents and umbrellas more time than not after hauling half their house to the beach including tents. chairs, tables, oversized ice chests, fans, and even portable air conditioners.

When I go to the beach I want to play with my kids in the sand or float in the surf with a beer or three. I slather on my SPF 100 thicker than a MSU coeds waistline and enjoy the sun rather than hiding in fear, I will spend most of the day at the beach and bring far less than folks there for a few hours,

Damn right on the nose. I love the beach and sun but also do not want to end up with 276 stitches from just one skin cancer surgery like my dad.

Have you ever caught anything at that time

At daylight? Yes. Lots of pompano, redfish ( not a lot of big ones but lots of them), loads of Spanish, trout, flounder, whiting, jacks, the usual suspects on the gulf. From cape canaveral to Homestead and from Venice to Tampa some of the best snook fishing of the year is on the beach in the summer at daylight.
