Yeah I don't believe that at all. A cruise is nice and all for a week or two ,but to live on one for years? I can't imagine that would be nice in any way.
Look up Super Mario Royal Caribbean. Other than COVID and a few weeks a year, he has lived on cruise ship since 2000. He has a Wikipedia page
I've heard a lot about the Ville vie odyssey when it was starting out and it had a lot of troubles from the beginning.
Fwiw, Carol has a point because of all the trump "peace wars" fuel for ships is outrageous and they couldn't secure a source
Some bought in for 3 years, many bought in for 15
Technically not over, but a "60 day hiatus"... But be real...

Someone in the travel forum asked me about this ship and if it was the same one we took on our ATW cruise earlier this year. The VVR Odyssey was not the ship we were on, but we did sail on The Odyssey in June 2025 to check it out. The concept of a residential cruise interested us and we decided to sail on it to see if we would enjoy it.
It was much different from the mainline cruise ships, but it was really cool to experience. We met and have stayed in touch with some of the residents since we sailed on the ship. In the last couple of days, I have communicated with many of the residents. It is really a sad and difficult time for them and anyone associated with The Odyssey.
