I'm kind of lost on this one too.

So, what other Religious Rules can they just change in Catholicism?

When I'm in heaven and y'all in hell, I won't be laughing. Because I'm Catholic and I forgive you.

I'll probably still observe on friday.

All of them. They change with the times to remain popular. It's not like this is the word of God. It's all coordinated by a handful of socialists and pedophile-protectors across the pond.

So who goes to worse hell? Friday carnivores or Hindus? Cause Hindus can't eat pork so it seems like every day is Friday to them. Any theologians on here that can sort this out?

What does it matter? They can still have potatoes.

Or green foods...

What else do they want?

Oh... Maybe bacon on their potatoes...

So what's it about? I just googled it and it said it was about food. You gotta competing theory?

quote:

"Abstinence" refers to the practice of abstaining from red meat, whether on Ash Wednesday and the Fridays of the Lenten season, or all the Fridays year 'round. It was meant to be an act of penitence, in remembrance of the Friday on which Christ was crucified.

But, what do Catholics who live where there isn't any good fresh seafood eat on Fridays during Lent? Mrs. Paul's probably.

It's the same as most religious practices. It's about spirituality. Non spiritual folks have no concept of this.
