#FREEMAINE
It never fails. Once a BR rapper starts getting a buzz going he goes to jail.

The Youtube video comment section, while small, very entertaining.

He mentions in the video that if they change some laws its gonna get bad around here. I'll just assume everything they are doing know is legal right?

For what it's worth he's an awful singer. Just awful.

To his defense, he was only autotuned once.

I've always been in touch with the BR rap scene and FWIW, I never heard a buzz about him. Lol. But you're right, it's usually either death or jail for them. It's the reason why a lot of labels don't give big deals to rappers from here. Many have had opportunities but they always seem to mess it up.
Nussie is a prime example. He had just signed a contract with universal and not long after gets killed. Happened to lil snupe recently as well, there's tons of examples from local rappers of this. A lot of rappers other places don't really live what they rap about, it may be what they've heard or saw. However, in Louisiana it's a bit different it seems. Most rap about what they actually do and never intend on really blowing up, it's more of a cover up for other things they do. Then a little buzz starts and they start making money with it but they can't put away their original lifestyle and no label wants to risk a lot to get back nothing bc their artist gets life in jail or murdered. Gates was a lucky one (or smart depending on how you want to look at it) and Boosie dodged a bullet, pardon the pun.
I could go on and on but I think every one understands and I've gotten off topic, lol. I haven't looked at his Instagram and don't care to, but the comment on page 1 about him having his baby that's 2 or 3 years old is disgusting. This is why things in Louisiana won't change, they think that lifestyle is cool. Getting shot is cool, shooting is cool and they see killing as being something that gives you a higher street status instead of something that keeps the whole community down and ruins many lives, including possibly the future of their kids.
