Baton Rouge has a large incognito gay scene made up of lifelong locals. Don't think it's just limited to Splash and George's.

New Orleans gays usually moved there from another state. They don't care and display it proudly.

I've heard about a lot of black politicians and preachers from Louisiana who go to Atlanta and Miami.

when I was at LSU I worked at the Bengal, one year a gay bar opened up next door, it was almost over night, one day there was nothing there and the next day there it was, and the place was packed

I think that would've been Splash. It's still there on Highland Road.

I've been in there a few times with an ex girlfriend who had a gay brother.
The place is huge and crowded most nights.
