I'm still trying to figure that one out. It was nice, but what the heck drove the value up that far in a year. They weren't getting anything like that last year.

I have been pleasantly surprised at what people are paying for vette's this year. Esp the resto's.

Yeah is nuts, especially whey they are merely assembling them. They are ordering a frame, chassis, crate engine and trains already assembled from the Roadster Shop. All they are doing is dropping a body (some are not even original and are kits) onto the frame, adding interior, paint and wheels.

All the hard work is done.. And asking $250k.

Yes 275K for a Volkswagen bus is crazy money when you think that the Series 1 E-type right after it went for 105K.

Could have had the last 2 E Types and enough money left over to buy a Corvette for the price of the bus. Insane.

Nuts...

Yeah the mircobus is in a bubble ... The car market is cyclical. It was C2 Vettes, then Mopars, now it's air cooled Porsches and Microbus.

Only thing that is certain is someone will lose thier arse of they own it too long.

There is a guy in our group that did just that. We call it Franken-vette and he is happy with it, so to each his own I guess.

Any idea how much the 97 Porsche 993 Turbo or the RWB Porsche Targa went for? They must have gone to commercial during both auctions.

My Bid on Ford GT 248,000. Prolly a little high again.

I don't mind some modifications but some of these vettes with wild flarings, wrong year scoops, 20" wheels etc are just too over the top for my tastes

Went high.

Yeah crap. I just saw it has like 200 miles on the ODO. It's going to go high.

There is a 67 911S coming up. Interested to see it. Love the long hoods.

Slight mods are ok. Radical changes, not so much.

I'm biased, but I'm somewhere in between.
