Yes, one was a Windsor, not a Cleveland and it may have been tired. I ran it hard. I also had one with a 390. The torque...
Like I said, I don't remember the years exactly. I'd sold them by 1980. My point was that eventually technology overcame the environmental regulations and cars got fast again.

IIRC the Daytona and Superbird were both outlawed by NASCAR because they possessed many huge advantages in aerodynamics at the racetrack. I believe the main reason though was that the rear spoilers created a vacuum behind the car which took away the opposing drivers ability to draft behind them The vacuum caused the opposition's cars to overheat due to lack of cooking air to the radiators.
