But that's also when things changed, starting with the 2005 LR3 and the 2006 Range Rover. Land Rover started making vehicles that worked, and worked well. I despise what Tata has done to the styling on their recent releases, but I can't quibble with the build quality. Rover finally has the money to do things right.

Not sure I agree w/ your timeline. Rover lagged quite a bit behind Jaguar even into 2010. If you really look into how Ford handled both brands, the lag makes sense.

Tata, much to my surprise, has spent a ton of money on both brands. Quality on the Jaguar brand is exceptional and I feel like they will get Rover there, too.

Are you talking about reliability surveys? I assume those would have included a lot of problematic trucks that Land Rover built in the early 2000s.

I've really had great experiences with the LR3 and the L322 Range (with the Jaguar engine).

More talking about JD Power, Autweek owners' reports, and some anecdotal stuff.

Beautiful interiors, by far the best in class, so I think if overall quality improvement continues to show up in surveys, it will be an excellent choice.

That makes sense.

The quality improvements I saw would take time to show up in surveys.

I have the first one. I love that jacket. Definitely worth the money IMO.

I think I'm going with the Driver's jacket. It costs half as much as I paid for my first Land Rover, but I suppose that's the mark of quality.

I like Filson, guess if you're more into the Brit style Barbour makes sense, they make some other nice stuff not "land rover" branded too.
