YESSSS! You suck snot, you get to sleep. Snot sucking, engage.
Sound machines x100. Remember, in the womb, babies basically get vacuum cleaner like "droning" from the fluid around them all the time. They like the noise. Set it on ocean sounds, and almost no level of gunfire outside your home will wake them up.

The problem is, that no matter what advice anyone here gives you, your wife is going to overrule you based on crap her friends did, or what she saw on TikTok as a "hack," etc.
The birth is your graduation from the "you're almost never right" stage, into the "f@* you, all the ladies are microwaving their lunch meat to keep the baby safe" bullshite starts with most women.
Assuming you get birth pics taken at the hospital, pay close attention to how the photographer treats the baby as they're putting on different clothes. We all think they're super breakable, but they're really not. The way that lady stuffed my son's arms into LSU onesies was kind of disturbing at first. They're pliable, and resilient, just try not to drop them :D

Work will become fun because it’s a break from the constant cycle of diaper change, feed, put to sleep, prep the bottles and supplies. Plus all your usual chores all while wife is recovering and physically useless outside of holding the baby.
What kind of flying you doing?

Hold 'em whenever you can as they grow. It won't be very long before they won't let you do it.
