Luckily it's only the oldest boomers in the senior management positions that have the need to be in the office mentality. Once they retire, better qualified people will make wiser business decisions.

Correct.

Starlink is broadband for peeps working remotely away out in the sticks. It will not be the dominant system inside cities, because it will not handle the density of devices there. That's what fiber and 5G are for.

But out in the country? It's already pretty common in places where it is available, because it is way better than the usual rural broadband systems.

also feel under the microscope more when working from home. I went to go pick up my sister at the airport a couple weeks ago and was away from my desk for an hour and got back to all these missed emails about a quick impromptu meeting that I ended up missing. Got an arse chewing for that.

work from home and I'd rather be in an office. I just feel like there are too many communication breakdowns

So you're the communication problem. Working from home doesn't mean you get to just come and go as you please. Would you have just left the office without telling someone?

I conduct my business the same way on days I'm in the office versus days I'm teleworking. The only difference is that I waste time/fuel on days I go to office and stop working immediately at quit time.
