Saw this story in the Clarion Ledger.

LINK

and this stood out.

Tellis posts a profile picture showing common Vice Lord hand signs. In a series of photos posted that same day, a “VL” tattoo is clearly visible on his left arm, along with several five-pointed stars, which are also a symbol used by the Vice Lords. According to VL literature, the five points of the star are said in VL literature to represent Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom and Justice.

I had no idea that the symbols of gangs had such profound meanings.

What gets me is Tellis is already in jail for using the debit card of another girl that was murdered yet is not implicated at all in her murder.

Update:

FBI: "Its been a long 14 months. Its very satisfying to know that someone capable of this kind of evil is in custody."

The victim and the suspect were in a relationship. But they will not discuss anything the suspect has said.

They do not anticipate charges against any other individuals.

Suspect has three prior felony convictions. Was released in October, 2014 after serving a year of a five year sentence.

Suspect is in custody in Ouachita Parish. Governors of Mississippi and Louisiana will cooperate to have suspect transferred to Mississippi. May 9 trial date in Monroe. He will have to face them before transfer.

Not gang related or drug related. But they will not talk about a motive.

Felt like the case was solved multiple times. Iowa, Tennessee and East Mississippi leads fizzled out.

Blaming CSI and other television shows for making people desire these things be solved immediately.

Quinton Tellis, a 27-year-old Louisiana man, was indicted on capital murder charges on Tuesday.

"We knew he was the last person she was with," Desoto County District Attorney John Champion tells PEOPLE. He adds that Tellis is "what we call a habitual offender."

Champion says authorities zeroed in on Tellis when they got information on the location of his phone: "We came to the realization that he was with her at 6 o'clock. Their phones were absolutely together in Batesville," he says.

I hope they have much more evidence than that. Two phones together does not make a murder rap.
