What is it called when your car starts beeping if you get too close to an object when backing up or pulling forward. Does that warning system have a general name?

It is called the FDAS.

Or, Female Driver Awareness System.

parking sensors

Mainly used for parallel parking?

When backing up it is called rear cross traffic alert! Forward would be a pre collision warning!
