Kyle Loftis was the founder and face behind 1320Video, one of the most influential automotive YouTube channels in the street racing and drag racing world. He helped pioneer the modern “street racing documentary” style on YouTube by filming cash days, underground street races, roll racing, drag-and-drive events, and high-horsepower builds long before automotive YouTube became mainstream.

His channel has close to 4 million subscribers.

The automotive community is currently reacting to reports that Loftis passed away on May 5, 2026. Multiple automotive media outlets and 1320Video social posts have acknowledged his passing today.

I thoroughly enjoyed his content. RIP

Basically, he's the guy responsible for all the Challengers doing donuts at intersections.

Really sad news. He was a great dude and will be missed in the racing community.

Anything involving street racing is shite. There should be no such thing.

Prayers for his family.

Dang, I just watched the video of Cleetus giving him a new C8 ZR1 as a thank up for everything he did for him and his career.

Came to post this. He was just in a Cleetus McFarland video a few weeks ago and Cleetus gifted him a new Corvette. Sad. RIP Kyle

ETA..Chicken needs to add a Car board. Several boards on this site get very little traffic and could be replaced by an automotive board.

RIP

I'll take this opportunity to say RIP to a motor racing legend who passed away over the weekend: Alex Zanardi.

He lost both of his legs in a major motor racing crash, but he continued to compete in motor racing and handcycling in the Summer Paralympics.

Rest in Peace
