I text the number and it said this is a land line.... that's all i'm going off of.
And this group ranges from 25-35. I guess we'll get a feel for 6th one night then do Rainey the next if that's not our speed.

What are the 1 or 2 on 6th that aren't garbage? Tell me more about this Rainey st...
Easy Tiger on East 6th is a great bar. It's just surrounded by Austin's version of Bourbon street.

West end of 6th is more music venues and an older bar crowd. Kung Fu Saloon is one of my favorites. Rainey St is East of 35 and is a bit hipster, but is still a good time. Lots of food trucks and outdoor patio styled places. Too many individual bars to list haha.
Second this.

Oh and there is now a Top Golf up by The Domain (just north of downtown). Also, there is a putt putt place somewhere by Zilker Park that is BYOB. Still havent been but its on my list. Would make a hell of gambling/drinking event.
ETA: Its called Peter Pan Mini Golf.

I don't have text messaging. I only use this phone for voice calls. I have another phone that I use for texts. Saves me $$.

I highly recommend Hops N Grain for a brewery. They are at the end of 6th St and they have a big thing there every Friday.
Easy Tiger has a great tap selection. All the bars on Rainey St have good tap selections, especially Bangers and Craft Pride. Most bars in general in Austin have pretty good tap selections. Some of the bars on dirty 6th are more suited for liquor and have weak selections.

Planning a trip in April/may. Need some advice from people who have been. Probably going to stay downtown. Restaurants? Bars? Breweries? Strip Clubs? etc. Any help is appreciated.
Did my bachelor party there.
Rented a BADASS house on 6th street on Airbnb. Slept 15 of us easily. Rented party boat with captain on Lake Austin (or Travis can't remember) for Memorial Day weekend saturday, went to Yellow Rose, and then bar hopped all 3 nights on 6th street and would walk home when bars close and brought crowds with us to the rooftop.
I might start throwing up again thinking about it
ETA:
Here's the place we rented. It really was absurd and the owner was awesome. She stocked the fridge and bar and that was included in the cheap price.

Couldn't talk them into staying all in one house. There is some interest in seeking company that would be rather left discreet. Anybody vouch for bp?

There are some lofts on 6th that can be pretty reasonably priced. I would do that or try to rent a house near downtown or one of the rail stops. Then you can just walk everywhere.

Peter Pan Mini-Golf.
As far as breweries tours go, I love Thirsty Planet in Oak Hill, just south of town. Independence is a fun one too and is not crazy far from DT but they used to only do "tours" on the first Saturday of every month.
I like Rainey way more than 6th, but I live here and I'm early 30s so Dirty 6th isn't really my speed. Banger's has about 103 beers on tap, Craft Pride has some great selections as well but they are almost all from the state of TX. If y'all decide you need shots or cocktails, Blackheart is just across the street, and it was voted one of the top whiskey bars in America.
G'raj Mahal is on Rainey and it is my favorite indian restaurant ever. Lots of fun options in this town.

Night spots on Rainey? Possible dancing?
Posted on 1/8/15 at 6:01 pm to breauxrivage
Nah, just bar bars. You're going to want to go to Dirty 6th if you want to find clubs, or the Red River district (walking distance). I guess there are places like that on W. 6th, too (little bit of an older crowd)...maybe Rio or something. I'm not much of a dancer so I tend to stay away from places like that

Us either but with all the liquid courage and most of us thinking we "still got it", it might be a nice option.

So i've heard yellow rose a few times. Any other strip clubs worth visiting or just the rose? fully nude?
