Probably not gonna mess with the lake. Thinking we'll prob stay around downtown and maybe cab it to a brewery or BBQ place one day. Definitely considering a party bus... Anybody have a recommendation? Researched it and there are quite a few. We will have about 10-15 guys.

anybody have a good story from bachelor party you've been on in Austin?

I went to one not quite two years ago, and I can't remember a got damn thing about the whole weekend, except the drive there and the drive back, with maybe a tiki hut day drinking spot in there somewhere.

If you dont go to the Yellow Rose while in Austin for a bachelor party, you are just wasting your time.

If she is still around Teen Mom Farrah has been stripping at the Palazzio strip club in town. Might be fun to go make fun of her?

Spend some time smoking pot and checking out ladies at Barton Springs.

Jester King is outside of town a little ways but is a nice property with decent beers. Austin Beerworks is in town and has my favorite beers as far as brewery's go.

Franklin BBQ is good and you could wait in the line and tailgate it, but the other BBQ choices listed are really almost as good. I prefer LaBBQ. Other then that dirty sixth or the other end of sixth are good for going out.

Austin sucks, don't come here. The trendy followers have ruined it and it's nothing compared to what it used to be. It feels like California now, not the laid back party town it was when I moved here and it's getting worse by the day.

But for some reason, Austin is the cool place to be now.

You should probably take it out of your name then, Cajun.

Last time I was in Austin we changed up the bar scene for the trip and spent our time on Rainey Street.

I now prefer that area over 6th Street now.

I would hope so, 6th Street is straight garbage except for one or two places.

Do you have some uncanny ability to incorrectly distinguish land lines from mobile lines, by simply looking at a phone #?

The guy wants to go to strip clubs. 6th St seems like just the place for his group. It's a party atmosphere similar to Bourbon St, but no open containers.

Rainey is more laid back and for hipsters and older crowd. East 6th is similar.

The East end of 6th St is more of college bars packed in tight, think a clean Bourbon. Its fun but expect the younger crowd. West end of 6th is more music venues and an older bar crowd. Kung Fu Saloon is one of my favorites. Rainey St is East of 35 and is a bit hipster, but is still a good time. Lots of food trucks and outdoor patio styled places. Too many individual bars to list haha.
