Spoke with Elizabeth Huebel(sp?) With WDSU news. Fox 8 has a story on it with a picture from a rooftop camera showing my truck and others around us that were broken in to as well. Still have not heard from NOPD. My cousin is the local police chief and I told him what happened and gave him my serial number on my pistol, so at least thats handled locally. Called insurance, they said call your home insurance. Home insurance deductible is more than the cost of the pistol and the door glass. What's the opinion of the new chief coming in to office?

I’m really shocked we haven’t seen more instances of citizens taking the law into their own hands.

The first person to shoot one of these POS would be made an example out of by some worthless judge. Remember, a guy setting up a flashbang in his car to punish break-ins makes more news than the break-ins themselves

Glass is auto coverage.

Pistol could be home insurance but terrible advice filing a claim on that especially la residents

Glass is cheaper than my auto deductible. One of the guys with us just so happens to own an auto glass business, so that's covered. The pistol is cheaper than my home deductible, so no claim being made there either. I'm just out about $1500 after all is said as done.

People who file those claims also get surcharged on policies for next 5ish years too. Not worth it at all.
